Thing #2

Creating this blog and avatar was even more fun than I expected it to be. I wanted the name of my blog to reflect my identity as a musician and as a student of music. In hindsight, it kind of sounds like a bad personal ad. Oh well, the crime has been committed I guess. My avatar is a pretty good likeness of me I suppose. I am in a tux playing trumpet somewhere most weekends. I am crazy for my dog Baylee. So, it is nice to include her in my avatar.

Creating the blog was not difficult for me at all. I enjoy most mediums that allow me to express my feelings and thoughts. I think that I will enjoy this blog as an instrument of expression. I guess that I'm forced to ask is the same questions that all people who create anything must ask. Will anyone appreciate my creation? Do other people feel the same? Blah! Now I'm thinking about the critics. Oh well, here's to the freedom of expression!

  1. Dear Seeking Harmony,

I found your name in a list of personal ads on www.dontmatchmeup.com. My name is Hornerlicous, and I like your tux and funky hairdo...baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

In all seriousness, your blog looks good so far and agree about it being an instrument of expression. I rate highly on the multiple intelligence catagory of musical. I often get in trouble for freely expressing myself in a less than professional manner...but hey if you loved Will Ferrell then you would have a screw loose too!

    1. Hey Hornerlicious! You do realize that names sometimes stick don't you? :) Anyway, I am forever in trouble with my wife for not having a filter and needing to express something every minute. So we do have that in common. As far as lusting after Will Ferrell, you are kind of on your own there :)

  2. Wow Scott,

This looks really good so far. I also like how your name correlates with what you enjoy most and that is music. You look like you are off to a good start just a few more to go. :)

    1. Melanie, you are soooooo positive. I have enjoyed reading your posts in the SPED class. You seem insightful and intelligent. You are right about this class too. In a month, this will be but a memory. Hope I can keep up!

  3. Scott, your blog is pretty cool! I had some trouble attaching my avatar to my blog, but all is well now. I have a cat. Her name is Oreo and I'm crazy about her. Maybe, I'll make an avatar of her on my blog:)
