Thing #4

Commenting offers a human connection in an electronic world. Feedback from actual people is one of the main reasons that I want to blog in the first place. Human interaction is a medium where many people enjoy expressing themselves. I like several of the ideas on the "cool cat teacher blog". I agree with the point that the author of any blog needs to know that they are being heard. I also liked that the blog offers suggestions like hyper-linking and using a tracking service. I also liked the "edublogger etiquette" blog. The last thing I want to do is to offend a friend by not commenting or not answering a comment.

I chose to officially follow the following blogs.

From class: I chose these blogs for a number of reasons. First, I have had the honor of talking to these people in person and I have developed a large amount of respect for each and every one of them. Next, I read a few of their blogs and find their writing interesting. Third, I believe that I can learn from their unique perspectives.

Professional musician blogs: I have found professional music blogs to be very helpful over the last few years. These two are new blogs to me but very interesting. One is written by the retired principle trumpet player of the Cincinnati Symphony and the other is from the composer Eric Whitacre.

  1. I must start with I love your avatar and avatar dog, very nice.
Human interaction is a key point to creating a blog. The only way one will want to continue blogging is if people are interacting or they want to get an A in technology class. :)
